Saints still interested in Adrian Peterson, Christian McCaffrey

The Saints have already made a number of moves this season in an attempt to bolster their sluggish defense. Now, it’s the offense’s turn to see some action.

Coach Sean Payton is a big fan of using multiple running backs. Last year, Tim Hightower and Mark Ingram split carries to keep each other fresh. Hightower is now with the 49ers, so the Saints are looking for another back to complement Ingram.

Enter Adrian Peterson.

Last season, the Magic dealt Tobias Harris to the Detroit Pistons for Ilyasova and Brandon Jennings, a player they let leave in free agency the following summer. They also traded Maurice Harkless to the Portland Trail Blazers for a essentially nothing: a conditional 2020 second-round pick.

Harkless is now averaging career-highs across the board after Portland signed him to a four-year, $40 million deal.

Orlando also dealt the rights to 2014 first-round pick Dario Saric to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for point guard Elfrid Payton. Saric has emerged as a Rookie of the Year candidate NFL Jerseys Paypal this season.

Orlando also drafted Aaron Gordon and Mario Hezonja during Hennigan’s tenure.

The Magic have failed to win 30 games in four of the last five seasons, winning just 35 games in the 2015-16 season. Orlando has amassed a 132-248 record since Hennigan Cheap Team Jerseys Basketball became GM in 2012.

We don’t know how much of the blame falls directly on Hennigan’s shoulders, but someone had to go.
